Jenny Craig is a very expensive option for losing weight.  So before you consider joining this weight loss program, you should first take a look at what Jenny Craig food costs.  These Jenny Craig food prices are current as of November 2009.

Jenny Craig is a very expensive weight loss program and there are no guarantees that it will work for you.  The program cost is about $400 to join.  Now sometimes they will have specials going on, but these special prices, such as "join now for only $20", are very limited.  These Jenny Craig specials are okay for people who don't have much to lose, but if you are looking to lose more than 30 pounds, then you would want to join Jenny Craig's premium program.  There are also incentives such as discounts on Jenny Craig food when you reach your half way mark and goal weight, and another incentive for maintaining your goal weight for one year.

In addition to the Jenny Craig program fee, you also need to take into consideration how much the food is going to cost each week.  You will be ordering 7 breakfasts ($19.95), 7 lunches ($37.10), 7 dinners ($41.72), and 7 desserts/snacks ($14.77) every week (average prices listed).  So on average, you will be spending around $115 every week.  Make sure that this is something that you can afford to do.  Your bill could also go up if you buy any optional items such as Soupitizers (small "appetizer" soups), Anytime Bars (nutritional vitamin bars), salad dressings, and syrup.
